P. A. C. E. awards recognition night and club night will be held on July 15, 2026

We are very excited to introduce “P.A.C.E.: Players’ Academic Club of Excellence”. At Platinum IE, we are committed to recognizing our players’ academic excellence. By honoring classroom achievements, the goal is to ignite and inspire academic excellence within the club, within each team, and, most importantly, within each Platinum IE individual.

If we can get one more child in our club excited about achieving higher academic standards, then we have been successful. Can you imagine if we inspire 2, 3, or even five athletes on each team to set and achieve higher academic goals/standards? Then, we as a club and as an educational culture will have been wonderfully successful.

The idea of “Setting the P.A.C.E.” is for higher educational purposes: College. At Platinum IE, we are committed to fostering a culture of student-athletes who aim to achieve more by using soccer as a pathway to higher education. “Setting the P.A.C.E.” will be our motto!

Criteria for P.A.C.E. Recognition Program: Any current Platinum IE student-athlete with a GPA of 3.5 or higher

UNDERSTANDING GRADE-POINT AVERAGE

Whether you’re in high school or college, your grade-point average, or GPA, is important for your future. You need a minimum GPA for admission to top-level universities, and once you’ve started your degree, you may need to maintain a minimum GPA to continue your studies. An elementary GPA, as opposed to a weighted one, takes into account the grades you have received in each of the classes you have completed, regardless of the number of credits the class earns you. It’s a simple average of all your grades.
